When you don't have a convincing argument
When you are exposed to an argument or discussion that requires you to justify and you do not have a convincing argument, it is better to remain silent. Silence is a direct end to any discussion that you do not want.
When feeling shy
When we do not find anything important to say, we may choose foolishly to speak, and as soon as we finish talking, we feel confused and start to scratch our head or lose our sight, while it was better to choose silence.
When talking does not concern you
You are often presented with conversations that do not concern you and which it is better not to engage in a discussion with them so as not to be intrusive, or at least wait until someone asks for your opinion.
When you feel angry
During intense, lively discussions, it is common to say something that shocks the sensitivity of another. To be honest, we already know that what we are prepared to say will hurt the person concerned. But we choose to say it nonetheless.
When the talk is over
And this applies to the saying if speech is silver, then silence, even if in some cases you feel that silence is embarrassing, but it is much better than saying anything when you do not find something to say.
When you feel bad
You may say things you regret when your bad mood is over, but the other person may not forgive you for what you said.
When someone provokes you
The greatest response to someone who provokes you is silence, as it indicates your disregard for the person, and ignoring is an effective weapon for every abuse.
