A seventh-grade student was stabbed to death inside her school in an unspeakably tragic accident

The crime was witnessed in the “Hussein Okan Merzji Intermediate School” in Mersin, where the 12-year-old student, Fatima Nessa Yurakli, was killed after being beaten and stabbed in the toilet on the ground floor of the school, according to what was reported by the Turkish opposition newspaper, Zaman.

After hearing a cry for help, the school supervisors found Fatima in the toilet with serious injuries and bleeding heavily.

The victim student was transferred to Mersin City Hospital by ambulance, but the efforts of doctors failed to save her, and she died despite all medical interventions.

It was found that the student was stabbed and beaten in 5 separate places on her body.

Investigations revealed that a fellow student of the victim in the class is the one accused of committing the accident. Investigations are still underway to ascertain the circumstances and motives of the crime.
